TSC Now Offers Infrared Electrical Inspection Services

Thermal Imaging of Breaker Panel

Provided by our new electric division, Omega Electric, the purpose of our electrical inspection services is to detect system overloads, loose/ defective components, and damaged switchgear. Infrared electrical testing finds hot, dangerous problems quickly.

Infrared electrical inspections find hot spots caused by defects in connections and components. Infrared thermography is used to find areas of excess heat (caused by increased resistance) so that problems can be corrected before a component fails, causing damage to the component, creating safety hazards and productivity loss.

Because increased heating is a sign of failure, infrared is the best diagnostic tool available for finding these hot connections in the initial stages of degeneration. Therefore, your insurance company may have asked for an electrical infrared inspection, to find and prevent problems before they cause damage to your personnel, equipment, or facility/property.

Omega Electric’s infrared inspection services offer a “Pass/Fail” of your electrical equipment. Our reports include photos of each electrical item, in the event of a “Pass” you know the equipment is in good condition. If our Electrician deems an electrical item as “Fail” the report will include an explanation of the deficiency along with the costs associated to make the repairs.

If you know, or are unsure, whether now is the right time to have an infrared inspection done at your facility, please call us at 847-640-0505 to get the conversation started and someone from our Territory Management team would be happy to discuss your needs and concerns to discern an infrared inspection is right fort you! Or if you’d rather, you can always contact us through our Contact Form, where you can submit a request for someone to get back to you at a time that works for you!
